I have been negligent. I am sorry.
I admit that the DSL was fixed last week. (I promptly did a few Suduku puzzles. I think it was some sort of withdrawal).
Then I immersed myself in blog catchup. (251 posts to go. I swear it was below 200 at some point today.) (Today is loosely defined as the time I've been continually awake. Which is, sadly, a very long time. I'm having sleeping issues. Some of these issues are my problem. Some are weather related (it rained so hard last night, it was like a Stomp! concert without the lower ranges. And some sleep issues belong to the dog.)
Poor Aurora, when I'm in "all business and no-nonsense" mode - she is "the dog". One night last week, it thundered for about 6 hours. It happened to be the same 6 hours I'd allotted to sleeping. The first flash and rumble practically exploded the house. (I do not use that term lightly - the house shook.) Aurora wigged out. And then her blood sugar got involved (high) and she could not possibly calm down while there was noise outside.
I think the next day was when I thought I'd do the White Post: Bright white laundry on the line. Bright white flowers. And, of course, the white dog. Except it rained and the laundry got run inside and the flowers were battered and Aurora, well, she dug. In the mud.
So I thought I'd do a post on the scarf. I started it April 16th. I ripped it out and restarted it April 21st. I was halfway done on May 3rd because I picked out the provisional cast on and knit on my way to the Sheep and Wool Festival.
I'm now about to start the last flutter - which is not meeting knitting (because I can't keep my place in charts during a meeting inconspicously.) So I have to find alternate knitting. (Dude's socks and my second sock come to mind. Which should take me to the weekend.)
Or I could go stash diving and post on the Next Project. I have no idea what it is but I'm dieing to cast on something and we're going camping this weekend. (Think: campfire knitting.)
Or I could go through stuff and pack because somewhere in the last week I put a bid in on a short sale. (720 square feet. O.k.?)
Or I could show you the yarn I just ordered.
Or I could post a video but I've not figured out the video editing software. (Its too big a format for YouTube.)
And there are all these possibilities and the power is on (oh, one more aside: Can you believe this incredible LUCK: This morning, the pre-programmed coffee maker made coffee. THEN the power cut out. And I'm really glad there was caffeine because filling the insulin syringe by flashlight was tricky.)
So the power is on. The DSL is working. The dogs are fed (Bella had dinner here.) And I went to find the camera ... and the SD disk is in Dude's computer, which he took to work. (In his defense, he was trying to edit the video for me.)
/sigh I reeeeaaalllly do try.
been thinking about you. wishing you well. does this mean you are moving sometime soon???
